Disney has decided to scale back the premiere of its upcoming film “Snow White.”
Typically, major Hollywood premieres are grand, star-studded events with extensive media coverage. However, for this premiere, the studio has opted not to invite journalists, with only photographers expected to be in attendance.
The live-action remake of “Snow White” has faced criticism, particularly regarding the casting of Rachel Zegler, who is of Latin American descent, in the lead role. Fans of the original animated movie also expressed disapproval of the actress’s comments criticizing the classic film as outdated.
Further contributing to the controversy are statements made by the film’s lead actresses on sensitive social and political issues. Zegler has shown support for Palestine on social media, while Gal Gadot, who is Israeli, has voiced support for Israel. Additionally, Zegler has made negative remarks about former US President Donald Trump and his voters.
