Denis “electroNic” Sharipov from Virtus.pro shared his thoughts on the team’s recent performances and the current form of its players. In an interview during the BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 CS2 broadcast, he spoke about the team’s ambitions and their preparation for the tournament.
Regarding their match against FaZe, electroNic mentioned they focused on implementing their practiced strategies. “We did what we practiced in training. We discussed a lot before this tournament about how we would play and everything. We didn’t do anything special before this game. Just regular preparation.”
He added, “We haven’t practiced as much as you might think. We had a month after PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, but we had visa and passport issues to resolve. We practiced well before this tournament, but we still want more. We want to be an S-Tier team.”
Reflecting on his role as captain, electroNic admitted he hasn’t yet reached his desired level but is continuously learning from other leaders. “Regarding my progress as a captain, you should ask my teammates. In my opinion, I’m trying to be the best version of myself. I watch a lot of games, how other captains act in matches, how they control emotions. I’m still far from being a top-level captain, but I’m trying to be the best version of myself.”
Sharipov also commented on Timur “FL4MUS” Marev and his performance within Virtus.pro. “He is a young player. GamerLegion was his… He played in Nemiga before, but that’s not a tier-1 team. GamerLegion is closer to tier-1, but still. He needs to learn a lot, for example, how CS works. Many people don’t know how it works. But it’s simpler than other things. He wants to grow, wants to learn a lot of new things. He is the kind of guy who can be on the tier-1 scene. He is very smart.”
