Team Spirit’s manager Dmitry Korb3n Belov addressed rumors regarding the organization’s decision to not sign Vladimir No[o]ne Minenko in 2022. Belov explained the preference for Denis larl Sigitov during that period.
Korb3n acknowledged his respect for No[o]ne but expressed satisfaction with Spirit’s choice of larl. He emphasized that the decision was not a mistake, highlighting the team’s victories at Riyadh Masters 2023 and The International 2023 with Sigitov.
Korb3n stated that in 2022, No[o]ne had no significant achievements, failing to perform well at the PGL Arlington Major and not qualifying for The International. He pointed out No[o]ne’s later struggles in Old G in 2023. Korb3n questioned the logic of signing No[o]ne in 2022, considering Team Spirit’s subsequent success with larl. He mentioned that PARIVISION’s results are comparable to Spirit’s and reiterated his respect for No[o]ne as a player, while maintaining a logical perspective on team decisions.
Korb3n admitted the possibility of being wrong about not choosing No[o]ne but argued that the results indicate otherwise. He found the rumors amusing and revealed previous discussions with No[o]ne at different points in his career, both before and after signing larl. Korb3n reiterated his confusion about why signing No[o]ne was expected or considered a mistake, especially given Team Spirit’s success with larl, winning The International and Riyadh Masters. He concluded by stating satisfaction with their chosen path and the achievements with larl.
