The musical film “Our Russia. 8 March” has achieved an unprecedented start for a television project on the KinoPoisk online cinema platform. It has also demonstrated the second-best launch result among all films and series on the service, surpassed only by “Kholop 2” in initial viewership figures. This information was released by TNT channel’s press service.
On KinoPoisk, “Our Russia. 8 March” was watched by 900,000 Plus subscribers. It’s important to note that KinoPoisk subscriptions are often shared among families or friends, meaning the actual audience for the project is larger than the subscriber count. “Our Russia” became the top film of the holiday weekend on the online cinema and set an absolute record for television projects debuting on KinoPoisk.
Among all films and series, this is the second-fastest audience growth, with only “Kholop 2” reaching viewers quicker. “Kholop 2” also premiered on KinoPoisk on March 8th and reached 1.4 million viewing subscribers within two days. Furthermore, when including viewership from the “Channels” section, where “Our Russia” was released simultaneously with its TNT broadcast, the musical film’s audience exceeded 1 million.
On TNT channel itself, “Our Russia. 8 March” was broadcast twice. According to the press service, the March 7th, 10 PM broadcast was watched by 5.4 million viewers, and the repeat showing on March 8th increased the reach to 8.26 million. A third broadcast is planned for March 11th.
In “Our Russia. 8 March,” Sergei Svetlakov and Mikhail Galustyan returned to their iconic roles from the sketch comedy show that ran from 2006 to 2011. The new film also features appearances from stars of Russian cinema and pop music.
