Valve has implemented changes to the Immortal Draft rules in Dota 2. The update description is now available on the MOBA game’s Steam page.
Now, players with a rating of 8,500 MMR or higher will automatically be entered into Immortal Draft mode. To participate in matches, players must officially register their nickname. Match results will now be hidden from public view.
Previously, Valve shut down a Chinese service that was used to view hidden data about professional Dota 2 teams’ practice sessions. The service exploited a vulnerability related to MOBA API keys, but after complaints from analysts and other scene participants, the game developers eliminated this method.
