Igor “w0nderful” Zhdanov, the AWPer for Natus Vincere in CS2, has named the top players in his role throughout the history of the discipline. He shared his thoughts during a post-match interview on the English broadcast of ESL Pro League Season 21.
W0nderful compiled a list of five players who excel with the AWP. Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev claimed the first place in his ranking. Initially, Zhdanov placed Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov in fourth and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov in fifth. However, after the broadcast, he reconsidered and swapped their positions.
W0nderful also drew a comparison between m0NESY and Kenny “kennyS” Schrub. “I believe m0NESY is stronger than kennyS. Of course, kennyS has been competing for a decade and is one of the all-time greats, but if m0NESY continues to perform at this level for the same duration, he will surpass him.”
